Call for Submissions

That project in your drafts? The one you're “still working on”? Let's show it.

We are hosting Open Studio 1 at Nani Ghar, CFAW – a space to share your work exactly as it is. No pressure to be perfect, just a supportive community you need to flourish.

AN EXHIBITION FOR YOUR UNFINISHED WORK

AN EXHIBITION FOR YOUR UNFINISHED WORK_

_

We know that the creative process isn’t always glamorous. This exhibition makes room for the real, often-difficult process of creation. Showcase your drafts – the unfinished, the raw, the imperfect, the works that have been a struggle – and connect with a community that gets it.

DEADLINE TO APPLY: MAY 15 2025

DEADLINE TO APPLY: MAY 15 2025

Unfinished masterpieces, works-in-progress, wild ideas – we want to see them all. Whether it's:

📘✨ an essay, short story, long-form article or opinion piece that you're still drafting.

📃✨ a manuscript or draft chapters from your novel, memoir, or poetry collection.

📜✨ a literary translation or adaptation that's still underway.

📽️✨ a script or treatment for a film, play, or video game.

🎤✨ lyrics or song demos that you're still refining.

📙✨ a sketchbook or journal pages with your ideas, doodles, or studies.

📷✨ a collection of photographs, an illustration or painting that you’ve been creating, and are now looking to reflect on or expand upon.

📐✨ a prototype or model of an architectural or product design.

🗺️✨ a set of maps, conceptual design or sketch for an engineering project that addresses a real-world problem.

🎮✨ a video or animation that's still in the experimental stages.

📱✨ a game or an app design document or prototype that you're testing.

📚✨ a rough outline for a new lesson plan, syllabus, or curriculum.

📝✨ a set of field notes, observations, or reflections from a research project, or political organising work.

Is your work-in-progress a hybrid, a mix of different disciplines or modalities, or something that eludes neat categories? Submit it! We'd love to hear about it and learn how we can help you bring it to life.

This call is for everyone with a project bubbling or stagnant. While we adore artists and writers, we're looking at you, too – the engineer, the coder, the architect, the scientist, the mathematician, the healthcare worker, the analyst, the designer, the researcher, the urban planner, the activist, the organiser, the teacher, the chef, the yogi, the woodworker, the gardener, the DIY-er! If you’re making something, we want to see it.
