Cryptids are monsters/creatures/beings whose evidence is not yet found. They capture our awe and make us question if there's a deeper, unexplained world just beyond our periphery. Maybe we'll witness them at the next head turn, in the middle of the forest, on the ceilings of abandoned buildings. But will we live to tell the tale?

Join us for an evening of myth-making and moving beyond the same old jinns, churails, and bhoot pareet! We'll generate our prompts, and everyone will design their very own cryptid with its own lore.

This workshop is free for all. We encourage minimal waste, so please bring your paper, sketchbooks, or other drawing instruments along with your creativity with yourself. We will have A4 sheets, basic pointer pens, pencils, and erasers available from our end if needed.

Nani Ghar Drawing Room is a weekly drawing series where we create and share art together. This series is inclusive for all people wanting to make art in a judgement free zone. No prior skills required, just your imaginations!

The Drawing Room is also a community-led initiative, so feel free to propose what you'd like to do next. This is also an opportunity for anyone who wants to lead a workshop! If you have an idea, and would like to lead a workshop, please reach out, the team will be there to support you in planning and facilitation.
