Imagine the pilot of your own sitcom. Sitcoms work because they're incredibly structured and yet do not have to be confined to a particular storyline. The characters are consistent irrespective of the situation they're in. The setting they're in naturally generates new situations, often ridiculous ones with low stakes. 🎭

Think about that while imagining what your own sitcom can look like. This can be drawn from your own life or any other book, movie, and show that has inspired or annoyed you enough to respond to it. You can draw what the characters can look and ideate their quirks and whatnot. You can draw panels depicting a scene from the imagined pilot. 📺

This workshop is free for all. We encourage minimal waste, so please bring your paper, sketchbooks, or other drawing instruments along with your creativity with yourself. We will have A4 sheets, basic pointer pens, pencils, and erasers available from our end if needed.

Nani Ghar Drawing Room is a weekly drawing series where we create and share art together. This series is inclusive for all people wanting to make art in a judgement free zone. No prior skills required, just your imaginations!

The Drawing Room is also a community-led initiative, so feel free to propose what you’d like to do next. This is also an opportunity for anyone who wants to lead a workshop!
