Is there something that just stands out for you in your mohalla? Is it the trees, the people, the shops, buildings, lamps or the animals? Or all of it? Something that is so unique that you can't imagine the mohalla without them?
Join us in reflecting on neighborhoods and exploring our connection to the land and community we are a part of. For Ilma, it's the A-One Fries Stall in her Mohalla which was run by a man who looking like the Desi Brad Pitt! She has fond memories of stopping by the stall on the way back from school and having the fries in evening with her grandfather. 20 years later, the stall still remains there - just run by his son now. Join us in reflecting on your unique neighborhood experiences!
This workshop is free for all. We encourage minimal waste, so please bring your paper, sketchbooks, or other drawing instruments along with your creativity with yourself. We will have A4 sheets, basic pointer pens, pencils, and erasers available from our end if needed.
Nani Ghar Drawing Room is a weekly drawing series where we create and share art together. This series is inclusive for all people wanting to make art in a judgement free zone. No prior skills required, just your imaginations!
The Drawing Room is also a community-led initiative, so feel free to propose what you'd like to do next. This is also an opportunity for anyone who wants to lead a workshop! If you have an idea, and would like to lead a workshop, please reach out, the team will be there to support you in planning and facilitation.
