Winters in Karachi are special because they offer a brief respite from the hot and humid weather throughout the year. Because they are so short-lived, we love to romanticize them: oranges, moong phalli, day weddings, hoodies, even the perpetual flu all become markers of the season.

What are the little things you love about this time of year? What does a perfect winter day look like for you? Do you have any rituals or traditions tied to winter, or is there a favourite childhood memory rooted in the season?

This workshop is free for all. We encourage minimal waste, so please bring your paper, sketchbooks, or other drawing instruments along with your creativity with yourself. We will have A4 sheets, basic pointer pens, pencils, and erasers available from our end if needed.

Nani Ghar Drawing Room is a weekly drawing series where we create and share art together. This series is inclusive for all people wanting to make art in a judgement free zone. No prior skills required, just your imaginations!

The Drawing Room is also a community-led initiative, so feel free to propose what you'd like to do next. This is also an opportunity for anyone who wants to lead a workshop! If you have an idea, and would like to lead a workshop, please reach out, the team will be there to support you in planning and facilitation.
