Drawing Room: Dooriyan
6:00 to 8:00
In-Person
Facilitator: Wasif Khokhar
What does distance actually mean to you? Is it measured in the miles between you and a loved one in another country, or in the space between you and someone you used to be close with?
In this upcoming session of Drawing Room with Wasif, we’re reflecting on what distance feels like and how deeply metaphorical it can be through the memories we carry.
Afterward, we’ll tape everyone’s drawings together into a single, interconnected network. It'll be a collective map showing just how distinct and personal our ideas of distance truly are. Bring a memory, and let's draw it out together.
This workshop is free for all. We encourage minimal waste, so please bring your paper, sketchbooks, or other drawing instruments along with your creativity with yourself. We will have A4 sheets, basic pointer pens, pencils, and erasers available from our end if needed.
Nani Ghar Drawing Room is a weekly drawing series where we create and share art together. This series is inclusive for all people wanting to make art in a judgement free zone. No prior skills required, just your imaginations!
The Drawing Room is also a community-led initiative, so feel free to propose what you’d like to do next. This is also an opportunity for anyone who wants to lead a workshop! If you have an idea, and would like to lead a workshop, please reach out, the team will be there to support you in planning and facilitation.
