Drawing Room: A Place I Go To Mentally
Drawing Room: A Place I Go To Mentally
Thursday, January 22, 2026
6:00 to 8:00
In-Person
Facilitator: Amna Qamar
Inviting you to to step into the spaces of your mind. You might imagine conversations with people from your past, revisit old memories, explore what could have been, or mentally retreat to your art studio, bedroom, or any comforting corner.
We'll explore scenes, fleeting moments, or multiple scenarios at once, whether they are connected or completely separate. You can draw shapes, colors, objects, lines, or words — whatever helps capture the feeling, mood, or story of that space. It’s about playful exploration, reflection, and giving form to inner thoughts and emotions. There is no expectation of skill or realism — the focus is on personal expression, observation, and creating a map of your inner world.
This workshop is free for all. We encourage minimal waste, so please bring your paper, sketchbooks, or other drawing instruments along with your creativity with yourself. We will have A4 sheets, basic pointer pens, pencils, and erasers available from our end if needed.
Nani Ghar Drawing Room is a weekly drawing series where we create and share art together. This series is inclusive for all people wanting to make art in a judgement free zone. No prior skills required, just your imaginations!
The Drawing Room is also a community-led initiative, so feel free to propose what you'd like to do next. This is also an opportunity for anyone who wants to lead a workshop! If you have an idea, and would like to lead a workshop, please reach out, the team will be there to support you in planning and facilitation.
