Abstract Visual Storytelling Workshop
Abstract Visual Storytelling Workshop
Saturday, February 7, 2026
12:00 to 3:00
In-Person
Price: 2000
We often recall lived experiences as faint memories that are difficult to translate visually. This workshop uses drawing as a tool for communicating these stories, focusing on emotionally driven storytelling through symbolism, simplification, and structured film and animation language. We will explore abstract visual storytelling as a method for recalling, translating, and sequencing experiences from memory in this workshop.
Shehzar uses abstract visual storytelling as a foundation for my image-making process. He often begins with simplified shapes, gestures, and rhythms to understand the emotional core of a moment before developing it into a more literal image. This approach helps guide decisions around composition, movement, pacing, and focus, and is used across drawings, paintings, and animations. By working through abstraction first, Shehzar translates memory and feeling into images that carry tension, clarity, and intention.
