Words from our community.

All backgrounds, shared experience.

“This is exactly the work our elders need. I haven’t had the time to reflect on my life and who I am since I retired. Perception through Art workshop created the space for me to do that. It stimulated me emotionally and psychologically about who I have been, who I am and who I want to be.”

Evergreen Elder

Perception through Art workshop

“When I walked in and smelled the spices, I felt so seen — these are the things I and so many of us were shamed about living here, the smell of our food — and here we were using the spices to paint our observation — I felt free to explore the beautiful colours and my hands still smell like lemon! I feel free to accept myself as I am.”
